Biomass CHP Scheme Completes Continuous 72 Hour Operation

RET has successfully met a programme milestone to run a wood gasification Biomass CHP by completing 72 hours of continuous operation, and producing significant electricity exported to the Grid. The plant, which comprises one half of a 1 MWe Biomass CHP utilises RET's NovaGen technology. Results from the 72 hour run have provided valuable information on further rectification works on the original plant which had never run commerically.
